3. It’s gone … hands in grease!
3.1. Access the air filter
a. Turn off the vehicle, apply the parking brake, and open the hood. You can easily visualize the air box to change the filter.
b. Remove the retaining tab from the flange.
c. Using a bit driver and a TORX bushing 20, completely unscrew the three screws of the air filter flange. Do not try to extract them, they stay in their homes, even when they are no longer fixed.
d. Lift the flange to tilt it slightly, and pull it towards you to extract it.
e. Remove the old air filter
f. It is important to thoroughly clean the impurities left in the filter compartment.
3.2. Change the air filter
g. Replace the new filter, paying attention to the direction.
h. Make sure the rubber collar is placed correctly in its location. This will easily put back the flange.
i. To put back the flange,
· Tilt it so that the interlocking nipples come in first.
· Then tilt it to press against the filter compartment.
· Tighten the three screws.
· Reinsert the retaining tab of the flange.
j. Done !
