  1. Ford dtc c1001 vision system camera. The message on the vehicle front display state that the rear view camera is unavailable and a blue screen is shown instead. Advice: Do not replace or swop viseon system compoments, rather start to check the fuse and folow through by checking the wiring for chaffing. If it is a pick up then the wiring goes through the back of the cab(between cab and load body) and is joined by a large connector, runs onto the chassis to the back of the vehicle. The wiring is prone to chafe through on the cassis causing a short circuit ( look for the viseon wire with a silver coating and some foil covered tape also called screened wiring) Join the wiring and insulate it properly to prevent further chaffing. This repair procedure requires you to remove the fuel tank on some vehicles to get easy access to the wiring harness.
